On 28, May 2013 we had a presentation in the class at 1:10 with Mubarak Mohamed AlMazrouie and he talked about the traffic in the United Arab Emirates. The presentation was good and Mubarak Mohamed showed us the traffic and he told us what to do so we do not go to traffic and get stuck there. I think we had some advantages while Mubarak told us about the traffic in the United Arab Emirates.

Mubarak, while he was presenting  told us about the movement of the vehicles on the roads and some people while they are driving first they drive fast and go from the right lane to the left at high speed and this is not good while driving because it causes a big accidents. In the United Arab Emirates when they give the plants water sometimes this water comes to the street and people  drive crazy and go to the water and play with car and this is a very very big problem; the problem is he might get one out of four things maybe he will die, break his bone, paralyzed or if he survived from the accident God will save him and he won’t get hurt. I prefer from Mubarak presentation to follow the safety law so people live safely without accidents because accidents are very bad to people. While he was presenting he caught my attention that there are some people who go to their meeting late and they speed in the street and drive the car recklessly and this will make a problem to them or to people around them.

I would like to thank Mubarak; he made us learn big things about the traffic and gave us points of benefits so I would tell people to follow the law; speeding will not give any advantage.
Thank you Mubarak for your presentation.

MY FARM

report of Mohamed Ahmed Balfaqee

Report of Mohamed Ahmed Balfaqeeh,

Mohamed talked in his presentation about the old cinemas and the new cinemas and he showed us the big difference between the past and nowadays and the technology the people get so far. 50 years ago there was no technology like now in the cinemas and Mohamed showed us the difference. In the old days people took 3 to 4 days searching for a cinema or going to it, but these days you can reach it in 10 to 20 minutes. He showed us the difference between old and new cameras and they have a big difference and the difference between the old design and the new design; it is totally different. Before the old movies they had only black & white but nowadays it is colored and the old movies took more time. When a show began in old time it took so long and now it takes a short time after Warner Bros showed up and invented the sound. The technology has changed.

Reflection

Meeting Report

As a manager I held a meeting in room J12 on Tuesday19th of March at 13:00 with my colleagues Mohamed Ahmed as a minutes taker, Eissa and Saif who are the participants. We discussed the problems that the student faces in the college life and the negative points in the college. In the meeting I asked Saif about the parking problem and his answer was yes the college has a parking problem and it's crowded parking and Eissa agreed with Saif’s opinion about the parking. I told Eissa about the break timing and what is his opinion on the break; he answered that actually the break timing does not fit some students because some students finish late in class and he has 10 minutes for the other class and he will face 2 problems which are being late at class and he doesn’t have time to eat. I asked Saif if he agreed about the canteen. He answered the canteen is crowded and the students don’t feel comfortable while they are eating. Eissa told me they must fix the break time and make between 15 and 30 minutes so they have time to eat and they don’t find the canteen crowded with people. I remember there was a canteen between J block and F block but the college closed it and this caused the college a problem with one canteen and all of the students go to this canteen and people find it crowded and it does not feel comfortable while sitting and they don’t find a place to sit.

Agenda

Saeed Abdulla Al Qubaisi is the chairman and Mohamed Ahmed Balfaqeeh is the minutes taker with Saif Mohamed Al Mansori and Eissa Sultan Alblooshi who are the participants. And we are going to meet in Abu Dhabi Men’s College in the library on Tuesday 19-03-2013 at 9:15 am to 10:15 am. We are going to discuss about the college life:-

1. Some students in the college come from outside of Abu Dhabi and we will talk about more problems and what could the college provide to support students socially.

2. Parking problems are caused because some people don’t park right and there are a lot of students in the college come by their own car and the parking is crowded with so many cars so it is difficult to find a parking space.

3. The break timing between classes doesn’t fit the students and they don’t feel comfortable.

4. Sometimes the canteen is crowded that some students don’t find a place to sit and sometimes students go outside the college to get something to eat.

The group needs a laptop, internet, pen and paper to discuss the problems of the college life.

Minutes:-

At the beginning of the meeting the group talked about the college life and what problems the students face.

There are some students who come from outside of Abu Dhabi and the college must provide something socially for these students and the college can afford any help for them; maybe some students come from other Emirates and there are some students who are far away from Abu Dhabi and sometimes the weather get bad and there is a traffic rush.

About the parking 60% of the students don’t  park right and this is a problem for other students, the college must provide buses for students so the parking won’t be crowded; there are two solutions that the college will discuss; they get Mawaqif for parking or if students who are friends come in 1 car it will be better.

The break time doesn’t suit the students; they must eat but the canteen is so crowded; a few months ago there was a canteen opened between the J block and F block; this canteen reduced the percentage of rush in the main canteen and students will feel comfortable because at this time when you order something the order will take between 10 to 20 minutes and like this the students will be late for their classes.

The college must provide for students laptops because the laptop in the college is too expensive for some students and the students who are sponsored by a company get a laptop for free and it is not fair for some students.

Recommendations:-

·         The college could give the student who comes from out of Abu Dhabi extra free time on weekdays so they can get to the college early and they can reach safely.

·         Build multi-storey parking and expand parking in the unused places.

·         The college could provide buses for students to reduce the number of cars.

·         Briefing the students on the right way to park and the college should give the student who parks badly a fine to pay.

·          The break time between the blocks should be different from each other so that the students can have their own time to enjoy their breakfast.

·         Re-open the other canteen which is at the CERT area to reduce the rush of students at the main canteen.

·         Reduce the cost of laptops or offer a new laptop for free to the new students.

REPORT OF ABDULLA SALEM ALMEHAIRBI

Abdulla Salem AlMehairbi is19 years old and studying Business/Human Resource in the Higher Colleges of Technology and he graduated from H.H Mohamed Bin Khalid Al Nahyan School and he graduated with 89.8% total average and he joined the Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi.

In the interview with Abdulla Salem Al Mehairbi he didn’t understand some questions; he kept saying what because I think that he didn’t have an interview before and he was confused by some questions. But in other questions he was great with his answers and Abdulla's dream was he wanted to be a police officer in his life and I hope he has a successful career in the Ministry of Interior; I understand from his interview that he won’t face any problem in his career. About the pressure in his study I got some ideas that he likes to finish his homework in class not in his home because he is under normal pressure and does not think of homework. I hope Abdulla Salem AlMehairbi has a successful career and a successful life and he enjoys his time in his job and makes new friends in the Ministry of Interior and reaches his goals.
